The United Kingdom, which includes England, uses the British pound sterling, referred to more colloquially as just "the pound. " The pound is made up of 100 pence. Currently, one pound is worth about $1. 50 us.

The currency used is the pound sterling. Each pound equals one hundred pence. England does not use the Euro, but certain shops may accept the Euro. The England system uses both paper bills (pounds) and coins (pence).
