Atenolol is a class of medicine called a beta blocker. Beta blockers decrease the heart rate by blocking the chemicals that normally send impulses to the brain telling your heart to beat faster. As a result, your heart rate (pulse) slows. Atenonol slows your pulse.

Atenolol is a beta-blocker. Beta-blockers are medication used primarily in the treatment of hypertension, heart disease, and other cardiovascular conditions. It may, however, be used to treat conditions outside of the cardiovascular system. One common effect of beta-blockers, like atenolol, is decrease in heart rate, or pulse.

Used for treatment of angina and hypertension, it affects blood flow. It can cause your heartbeats to be slow or uneven.

atenolol is used to treat hypertension and angina, but pulse rate is the rate at which your heart beat. This is the relation between atenolol and pulse rate

Atenolol is a beta-blocker. It works by decreasing the pulse rate and by not allowing the pulse to increase in response to stress.
