Apple is referenced in "Forrest Gump" when Forrest considers Lt. Dan stating, "Lieutenant Dan got me invested in some kind of fruit company. So then I got a call from him, saying we don't have to worry about money no more. And I said, that's good! One less thing."

In the movie Forest Gump Forest buys some stock in Apple, which he just thinks is a fruit company. When Apple got successful, he cashed in and was able to buy his shrimp boat and follow his dream. It's funny because he has no idea that Apple is computers and not fruit.
