The salary depends on the school district, locale, private or public, and degree of education. Tenure, seniority and union contracts determine annual increases. Range is $30,000-$90,000.

A public school teacher with a PHD and 30 years can make a lot (100+ K) But a starting teacher with a BA will make generally 30-40K starting. Prive schools generally make less. Salary differs greatly in different states and districts so you should check with your local school district to find out for sure.

It all has to do with the state where you live and if you are teaching at a public or private school. You may start about $24000.

Your salary as a teacher is usually made up of two factors, level of education and years of expierence. Salary also depends a lot on the district and the state you live in.
