What is the proper clothing for equestrians?

I see different looks, so I am not sure.

Most riding outfits are comprised of a few key items: a hat to shield your eyes from sun, riding boots, special riding pants (called jodhpurs) and often a riding jacket. If you're planning to compete, contact your riding academy or equestrian club for their wardrobe guidelines and suggestions.

In addition to spesific riding trousers, riding gloves and riding boots, the options are rubber boots with a low heel (1"), trousers that are skin tights and don't get wringled under the legs when sitting. If using gloves, they should be skin tight and not leave lint on the reins.

I would say that you would want to make sure that you are well covered in case you fall into some bushes. Don't forget your cowboy boots.

Proper Showing attire is; A pair of breeches, a collared shirt with a pin, Tall Hunt Boots, gloves, a Hunt Jacket and a helmet that has the Velveteen appearance.

The basics are jumpers (funny looking pants) and boots. Whatever top you wear doesn't really matter, though long sleeved tops work best. Also remember to wear a helmet and other required protection items.
