Prognosis for cervical spondylosis is due to the age. This is a invertiberal disorder which leads to severe pain in the neck and shoulder

It is a degenerative condition of the spine. It is kind of similar to a herniated disc but not as bad.

For most people, it is inconsequential. Severe cases can cause neck pain, radiating pain down the neck, into the shoulders or back. For severe cases, there are many treatment options.

When it come to a prognosis you need to discuss it with your doctor because every one is different and their bodies will react to things different.

The prognosis depends entirely on you level of degeneration in the neck, your current physical health, current pain levels, a physical exam, and your desire to be pain free. In most cases utilizing conservative therapies such as chiropractic or physical therapy give great relief from any pain associated with this. Try those first before you look into surgery and drugs.

Degeneration due to aging may involve the spine and require surgery, but most symptoms will respond to physical therapy treatment and not require surgery.
