It's likely that there's more than one way, depending on the location and other details particular to you. Call the Dentist's office and ask them for more information about the procedure. If there's something you don't understand, keep asking questions. It's your mouth and your money. Good Luck.

I worked in a dentist office as a dental assistant and have watched this be done before. It is no big deal. It depends on what material was used to put it in, if it was a temporary paste they will just pop it out, if it was put in with "glue" than they will cut it out.

The dentist has a little drill like instrument that has a little bit in it and they use that to cut through the bridge and then an instrument to pull it off. It is a fairly easy thing to do usually.

Some dentist prefer to cut the bridge off the teeth to prevent any breakage of you teeth. This is done by drilling through the porcelain and metal on the bridge down to the tooth structure. After cutting the bridge it can be easily removed by hand or instrument.

It depends on what the bridge was put on with, if they put it on with a temparary paste they will just pull it off with an instrument if it is on with the cement the dentist will use a little drill like instrument to cut it off.

take a high speed dental drill with a metal cutting bur cut slots in the bridge and take a crown elevator lock it into the slots and move back and forth to loosen the bridge then remove bridge gently without breaking the teeth underneath
