Your Maltese could be suffering from any number of illnesses and should be seen by a veterinarian. Dogs can get bacterial infections and viruses just like people can. It's also possible your dog has gotten into something it shouldn't have eaten and is now feeling the effects of it. Make sure to keep your pet hydrated!

If the dog doesn't normally have a dry nose, this could be a sign of dehydration. As for the vomiting,it could be anything from eating junk or something serious--see a vet.

Assuming your dog has no fever, that is a temperature above 101 degrees Farenheit, vomiting with a dry nose could be attributed to post nasal drip produced by excessively dry conditions in the winter from the furnace running and drying out the air.
