There are Three things assosiated with pH; Acid, Base, and neutral. Limes, Batterys, and other such things are all Acidic, They have pH levels less then 7, Which is considered neutral. While soaps, Such as Shampoo, Are bases and have pH levels that are higher then seven. You can aslo tell by using a pH strip to test it.

It depends on what chemicals are used in the shampoo, but generally, a good shampoo will be about 5.0-6.0 on the pH scale.
