A method of training based on equine psychology, using the flight or fight instincts in horses. Dubbed "natural horsemanship". Involves tremendous time doing ground work. Has "games" to play to develop equine responsiveness. Created by Pat and Linda Parelli. Aims to desensitize horses to spooky objects and instill a "spook in place" reaction.

Pat and Linda Parelli created the program, known as PNH, instructing horse owners on "natural horsemanship". It works with the instincts of the horse as a prey animal, and how humans can use that to train the horse for specific disciplines.

Pat and Linda Parelli promote what they call "natural horsemanship". The principals of the training program are to use the flight or fight instincts in the horse, to develop a more "natural" form of communication between horse and handler.

Pat Parelli is what you would call a natural horse trainer. His methods work with both the horse and rider and teach them to work with each other and use non-abusive methods to train the horse. Most commercial trainers use force and often times will hit the horse but he doesn't promote that.

Pat Parelli teaches a method of training horses, known as the "Horse-Man-Ship" training method. Mr. Parelli focuses on understanding a horses natural tendancies, and working with the horses natural tendancies, rather than trying to fight the horse to bend him to your will.

The Parelli method is a natural method of training your horse. Pat Parelli uses no violence. Instead he works with the horse to obtain a harmony and bond the horse and rider together.
