What is the order of the Star Wars stories?

In order they are The Phantom Menace, The Clone Wars, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. They were release respectively in the years 1999, 2002, 2005, 1977, 1980, and 1983. They were released in the order they were because the fourth episode was the most stand alone of each episode.

They were released starting with Episode #4,5,6 and THEN #1,2,3. Phantom Menace was the first and Return of the Jedi the final.
