The oldest Olympic Record still standing is the Long Jump of Bob Beamon at the Mexico Olympics in '68 jumped 29 ft 2. 5 inches. Over 40 years and this record still will be in the record books for years to come

The oldest Olympic record still standing today is the 40 year old Long Jump of Bob Beamon. In Mexico City he sailed to 29ft 2 1/2 inches that was about 33 inches further then the previous world record. This is a world record mark that will be very difficult to beat.
