I think that the oldest civilization is the cave men. From there colonies were created and people started going their own ways. Everyday problems established different civilizations, languages, cultures and things like that.

The Sumer civilization is believed to be the oldest civilization in the world. The Sumer civilization was located in Mesopotamia or modern Iraq. There is evidence of agriculture from this civilization dating back to over 5300 B. C. In general, the Sumer civilization consisted of city states. It has been called the cradle of civilization.
