Often referred to as the 'Gulf Stream' the North Atlantic Drift is the current of warm water in the Atlantic Ocean. The current is actually an extending part of the Gulf Stream. The path of the current, which is very powerful, increases the temperature of northeast Europe. The 'Drift' is often researched in collabaration with Global Warming studies.
