Kilauea is the most active volcano on the planet. Situated in Hawaii it's located in a hot spot that has been the scene of volcanic activity continually since January 1983. Aside from the current eruptions, over thirty separate eruptions have taken place since 1952. In 2008 another explosion took place causing much of the island to be shut.

The most active volcano is Kilauea in Hawaii. It has continuously erupted since January 3, 1983. It is refered to as the most active because of this continous flow.
