The minimum wage is $8.00 an hour in California. It is higher than the national minimum wage which is $7.25 an hour.

Minimum wage in the great state of California is now eight dollars an hour. Which is surprisingly low considering the average cost of living in the state. This number is probably so low because of the number of people occupying the state. Also it is up to the employer to decide what they pay.
