The QUICK Answer is Melting Point: 3500°C or 6332°F. Although it depends on the state of the carbon, (diamonds, graphite, or amorphous carbon), at atmospheric pressure none of the forms of carbon will melt (turn to liquid), some forms will sublime (turn to gas). Pressures required to melt carbon vary from 1 to 100 atmospheres of pressure.
