The longest home run ever hit in a MLB game was on September 10, 1960 by Mickey Mantle of the New York Yankees. The home run was measured at 634 feet.

It is an arguable fact, but Mickey Mantle according to almost all written reports, including the Guiness World Records, has the longest home run ever at 660 feet. This was during an exhibition game at Griffith stadium. In addition, he also hit homers on three occasions that were 550 to 560 feet and one that sailed 570 to 620 feet.
