You become emancipated when you turn 18. If you want to be emancipated before that age, you will have to prove in court that you have very compelling reasons, like if you are a famous rock star and your parents take all your earnings.

According to the Georgia Code Title 15, Chapter 11, Article 6 (2009), a person who is between the ages of 16 and 18 can petition for emancipation. The petition must include information demonstrating that the person can manage his/her own financial affairs and that he/she is able to handle her own personal and social affairs.

Georgia doesn't have a statute pertaining to emancipation or the required ages thereof. Thus, it would fall back to federal law in which other concerns become apparent. The typical age is sixteen or seventeen, but there have been cases where younger teenagers have become emancipated with some form of functional wardship under another adult or body.

I didn't see any legal age of emancipation in georgia but probably it has to 16 years for financial reasons. This is one of the requirement for emancipated in Georgia.
