Every crime entails a sentencing procedure, which involves the judge making a number of considerations. The sentence might have leeway regarding "time served," but that is also up to the judge at the time of sentencing. There is no specific section of the Louisiana Penal Code that discusses "good time served in jail."

Good time is time served without any disciplinary actions taken against you. Each day served will be recorded and credited towards the sentence.

louisiana good time law has been changed for every thirty days you can earn thirty five days, for example you would have to do 5 months on a 1 year sentence, this is only for certain nonviolent crimes, I don't know if good time apllies to mandatory minimum sentences, tellme

Louisiana's good time law for non-violent offenders is that for every 30 days of good time a prisoner spends in jail, he receives 30 days off of his sentence.
