Hydroplate theory is one "creation theory" which states that before the Earth as we know it formed, all the water was under the crust of a super-continent. As pressure from the water built up under that crust, it finally erupted out. This caused a huge flood, which created many physical features we now know, and broke the crust into plates.

Hydroplate theory is a theory describing earth's surface formation. It states that earth has survived a huge flood during which water that was residing beneath earth's crust broke to the surface and formed many of planets surface features. The theory is called 'Hydroplate' since one of the features is formation of the plates.
