What is the history of Piglet from Winnie the Pooh?

Christopher Robin Milne, the author's son, has a collection of stuffed animals on which the stories are based. Piglet is a stuffed pig named by Christoper Robin, who is also a model for the child in the book. The original stuffed animals, including Roo, Tigger, Pooh, et al, are on display at tne New York City Public Library.

Piglet is best friends with Winnie the Pooh, he likes acorns and lives in a tree. He is small pig and pink. He thinks his grandfathers name is Traspassers William.
