What is the history of Chiclets gum?

It was introduced in 1906.. It was introduced by Frank Fleer. It was designed after a candy coated almond. It was the first candy coated gum. The first flavor was peppermint but over the years it was made out of different flavor and colors. It came in a box of 10 that sold for a nickel in 1929.

Chiclets have been available for many generations. Frank H. Fleer invented the Chiclets during the turn of the 20th century. It used to be called "peppermint gum with iced candy", when it was first sold back in 1929. Actual chiclets that we know were introduced in 1962.

Chiclets gum was first made by Allans in the early 19th century. They were the gum of people's choice in the early century. Gum was found to be a real treat for people back then.

i think it was brought over with the irish back in the day . I think i heard that on a cable show

It comes from the Central American Chicle tree. It was brought to New York in the late 1800's as a possible alternative for rubber. That didn't work out, but it was found suitable as chewing gum.
