Rubbing Alcohol freezes at a lower temperature than water. It freezes at around -117 F. This is much colder than any household appliance will get.

Rubbing alcohol has a negative 89 degrees C freezing point making it a whole lot lower than the temperature at which regular water tends to freeze at. Water freezes at a low 32 degrees C. But it does not compare to the negative that is required to make alcohol freeze.
