the order is 1 3 7 2 6 5 4 8 . number 1 cylinder is the front driver side . then goes straight back 1234 the othe side is 5678

In 2001 Ford Expedition had two V8 engines displacing 4.6 liter Modular engine and 5.4 liter Triton engine both having firing order 1 3 7 2 6 5 4 8.

The proper ignition firing order for a 2001 Ford Expedition is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. Cylinders front to back on the left are 1-2-3-4 and front to back on the right are 5-6-7-8.
