One of the fastest growing trailing vines is the Vinca. It has green or variegated leaves that stream out and covers the ground quickly. It grows so fast that you may have to trim it to keep it off the lawn. In the spring, it produces violet, trumpet shaped blooms.

The fast-growing cup and saucer key lime vine produces big, exotic blooms. English ivy will grow where others won't. Wisteria runs rampant if allowed. Morning glory produces attractive flowers in a range of colors. Bougainvillea, cypress vine, "big blue" lilyturf, and silver dragon are just a few.

The fastest growing vine will be the one best suited for your yard conditions. Some great vines to look at are ivies (especially Boston and English), blue Chinese Wisteria, Dutchman's pipe, morning glories, Climbing fig, and honeysuckle. Some of these do better with areas to climb, others like ivies and myrtle do well along the ground.
