Nationality is a term expressing the country you have citizenship is. For example, an Asian Pacific Islander who was born in the United States and lives in the U. S. is a united States National. Race refers to the census-defined categories (African American, White, Asian Pacific Islander, etc. )

A person's race is something they are born with, it is undeniable and unchangeable. Nationality is chosen by an individual depending on where they live and the culture they chose.
