What is the difference between left-hand and right-hand scissors?

It's actually pretty simple; Scissors are typically created for right handed people, and for scissors to work, when you hold them right, one of the edges is sharper then the other. To switch hands on the same pair of scissors will make it so the sharp edge is on top instead and they won't work right.

the way the handles are created. right handed scissors the thumb slot is angled for comfort on your right hand so it will fit comfortably, and the left handed scissors the slot is angled the opposite way, for the left hand.
