A plane is a surface defined by three points and extending to infinity. Two planes that intersect form a line, which is a geometric object which is defined by two lines and extends to infinity in both directions.

Two planes that meet in a single line. Imagine two sheets of paper. Stand the sheets on their narrow side and place them perpendicular to one another, so that one sheet touches the middle of the other. If this sheet passed through the other sheet, they would be intersecting planes.
