The City Council is considering a bill that would more than double the cost of towing a car from an accident scene. The bill would hike towing fees from as little as $70 now to a new rate of $185 for hauling cars away after an accident or a breakdown on a public highway.and it depends on vehicles too

There are numerous towing companies in New York city. With each, the rates depends on where the car is and its destination. You may also take for granted that not all towing companies are trustworthy. Request a recommendation from a trusted mechanic or the local police department.

Determining the price of a tow depends on the length of the tow and what is to be towed. If it is just a car going a under 20 miles between $75-150 is a fair price.
