What is the cost of living in Trinidad?

What I have heard from friends that it can be expensive. Gas can be about $180/week, Groceries $500/week, movies $20/person, cell $150/month, Eat out $100/night.

The cost of living is about one-third that in the U. S. The average home (outside the capital) is about $50,000. Tropical living also cuts down on utilities, food costs, etc.

The economy there isn't the greatest so it really largely depends on what your occupation is. The more you make obviously the more you will able to afford and live on comfortably. As well, the range of housing prices are not as predictable as in the States and other countries.
