The best oil to use for a mower is Rotella 10-30. But for the best results the best thing to use is the oil that is put out by the engine manufacor.

first off when you take out the old oil you have to make sure that it is properly disposed because our earth is already bad, then look online for the proper oil in google, purchase and refill and your set

Any good quality 30 weight oil is perfect. Typically a non detergent oil in a straight 30W works very well, but 10W30 non detergent works just fine. Avoid 5W30, its too thin for summer use

To do it right check your owners mannule .It will tell you what kind and what weight to use in the engine .That way you know it was done right.

Most lawn mowers use 30 weight oil. You need to check your owners manual to be sure of the correct oil weight and type. You could substitute other oils if you work working in extremely cold temperatures. For example: If you where working in below 20 degrees, you might use a 5W-20 or 5W-30.
