The commutative property of addition refers to the fact that the numbers being added can be moved around without changing the sum. Therefore, 34 + 109 + 67 + 17 = 67 + 34 + 17 + 109. The commutative property also applies to multiplication.

When you add two or more numbers together, the sum or total is the same regardless of the order in which you add the numbers. For example, 2 + 4 = 6 and also 4 + 2 = 6.

The commutative property of addition means that changing the order of items in an equation will not change the final outcome of the problem. For example: 2+3+4+5=14 If you change the equation order to 3+5+2+4 the sum is still 14.
