Answer by  Tomo (21)

Coldest possible temperature in the universe is called absolute zero (-273.15 degrees Celsius or zero kelvin). At that point, according to classical physics, all molecular motions stop and temperature can't go any lower. Coldest known temperature has been achieved on earth by YKI-group of the Low Temperature Laboratory (0.0000000001 degrees above the absolute zero).

The value of "absolute zero" is when all molecular motion would stop (273 Celsius). Researchers recently obtained the temperature of one-half billionth degree above absolute zero.
