What is the cheapest truck rental for moving?

My daughter will be moving to a new house for college, and she has too much stuff to fit in the car.

Think about renting a cargo van from a car rental company like enterprise. It can be a little more affordable than a moving truck.

Having been involved in small parcel transportation business myself I find that U-Haul usually has the cheapest rates. She should still check other companies, such as Penske, or whatever else she has in her area.

I would suggest you check with Ryder trucks. They seem to be used often, and might be on the low side of pricing. Or you could go with U-Haul.

I moved twice in the last year (once from college) and always used U-Haul. You can't beat $20 for a rental.

You really can't beat u-haul. Their trucks are often older, but $20 / day is great. You could also do Craigslist to look for some guy with a pickup.

Well, it depends on where you are located, which you did not mention. But in general, budget truck and rental is a great way to deliver and move furniture for a low price.

You really should check and compare the price. Check for discounts and use coupons. Ask about mileage and gas to see if it is included in the price.
