Standing water in a dishwasher means that there is something blocking the drain. Usually this is caused by food left in dishes that gets washed off but is not small enough to go down the drain.

It sounds like the drain is clogged or something is covering the drain opening. Check for visible items covering the drain, but you may need a repearman.

You have a drainage issue with your current dishwasher. All you really need to do is to clear out the blockage.
