Over time, food will collect in the bottom filter unit preventing water drainage. Until the filter has been properly cleaned, your problem will not resolve and could worsen.

You have a drainage issue with your current dishwasher. All you really need to do is to clear out the blockage.

how can water get into the dishwasher even if the dishwasher has not been used and was empty...I can start to smell order and look in the dishwasher and there will be standing water with bits of food in the bottom...dishwasher not in use
