The cause is that your hormones are changing. It is a mix of Estrogen and Progesterone all together. Progesterone causes the surface of the uterus lining and endomitrium to become covered in mucous secreted from glands within the lining itself. If you do not get pregnant the mucuous start surfacing and then your period.

It could be a result from changing hormones, it may also mean your pregnant. If you are worried see a doctor, if you think you may be pregnant take a pregnancy test. If you see changes in your cervical mucus I recommend seeing a doctor to be safe that everything is alright.

This is due to changes in hormones during your most fertile time of the cycle. The increased quantity and thickness of mucous is intended to provide a protective environment for the sperm, since they might otherwise die in the vaginal canal before reaching the egg. "Rhythm" contraception uses mucous production as a sign to avoid sexual intercourse during this time.

The amount of cervical mucus you deal with does vary throughout your cycle and it is pretty normal to experience a lot of it before your period. As long as the mucus isn't greenish or painful or in other ways abnormal it should be fine.

This is a normal part of your cycle. Right before your period, you ovulate. The increase in mucous is the body's way of preparing the cervix to accept sperm.

Mucus prior to the start of your period is very common and is not an indication of anything, it could be a yeast infection, you could be pregnant or you could be starting your period

Most women see changing mucus throughout their cycle, with creamy, sticky, or dry mucus being most common right before bleeding begins. This is very normal.

That is a sign of ovulation. This is when you can get pregnant the easiest so you gotta know what it means.

i think that it might just depend on the women.most the time it is normal because as the oestergen level fertile pattern is a changing mucus pattern, reflecting a steadily rising level of oestrogen as the woman comes closer and closer to when you ovulate

Cervical mucus normally occurs three to five days prior to ovulation, the mucus is used to help the sperm survive inside the uterus and make its way to the eggs in the flopian tubes. Cervical Mucus prior to the start of your period could be an indication of an infection, yeast infection.
