What is the best way to word a party invitation?

I'm not sure how much to say or how to say it.

You are cordially invited to a party (and this is where you insert the name of your party here) held on (the date you wish to have it). Always write out the person's name, include directions and even what attire to wear where applicable. Remember to be polite and to the point.

The shorter the better, people like to read less and to the point. Just have it laid out in a simple way. You can even do a point form lay out. Its best this way so that your guests can just scan the invite quickly. You should also bold the important information like date, time, etc.

I'm holding a party and would love you to come to it. It would be a pleasure for me if you came.
