If you have a pharmacy just call and ask for the one on duty. If not, pick a local one, say you are looking to switch your prescription there and ask to talk to one. You might want to check your health insurance policy, as they often provide a nurse-hotline#.

You can have a discussion with a pharmacist either by calling your pharmacy and having your conversation over the phone, or going in and asking to talk with him personally.

There are consultation areas at anywhere that you may find a pharmacy. Just tell the pharmacist your symptoms and what medication you are looking for and they should be able to provide you with the proper information.

Go to pharmacy when least busy. Write down what medications you are currently taking, make sure to include medicines you get from other pharmacies. Write down what you need to know. Pharmacist have limited time, so get right to the point. Pick a pharmacist you are comfortable with.
