If you just want to carry your cell phone and not have your location identified, remove the battery. Your phone is designed so that if you dial 911 they can locate you, there's no way to remove that functionality while having your phone remain useful.

You will need to consult your owners manual.On my cell phone under the settings and tools options you choose phone settings and then choose location.Then it still operates when you call 911.I do not know if it can be removed from your phone.

You could call your company and tell them you want it turned off. Chances are you're paying for it. Also, you may have to look around, but there should be a "turn off" option.
