What is the best way to clean vinyl boat upholstery?

Answer by  patti (29325)

Use a really good vinyl cleaner that will remove the dirt without harming the finish of the upholstery. Murphy's Oil Soap and a soft brush should do the trick. Take care to protect the vinyl since it is exposed to lots of wear and tear and environmental elements that can dry it out and cause it to crack and split.

In order to clean the vinyl upholstery in your boat, I suggest purchasing a product called The best I X-14. Apply it once on your upholstery and let it sit for a while. Then, reapply again over the course of a few days as needed and it should make your upholstery look like new.

Soap and water is the best way to clean dirty boat upholstery. If that doesn't get rid of stubborn stains, you can purchase a upholstery cleaner.

Get a bucket of warm detergent water and a sponge. Gently work the sponge over the upholstery and then rinse with clean water. Be prepared to let the upholstery air dry before using.
