After concussion injury, treating haematoma with ice packs will reduce its size and reduce pain. Bed rest is important, and analgesics like paracetamol. In whiplash injury, give non steroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs, muscle relaxants like tezanidine, cervical collar for two to three weeks. Physiotherapy and heat application are beneficial.

The best treatment for these injuries is usually rest and limited use of the neck muscles (during whiplash). This helps the brain and neck muscles repair themselves.

Immobilize the neck in a hard or soft cervial collar. Concusion is bruising inside the skull and that will heal on its own, but requires taking it easy.

Make sure that the victim of the concussion doesn't fall asleep right away, I've heard that people can die if they do that. These are scary injuries, I would go to a doctor.

there is no single best treatment for concussion and whiplash. what is important in this condition is rest and exclusive monitoring, for a concussion and a whiplash injury could lead to something more drastic, such as severed blood vessels in the brain that could lead to CVA (aka stroke).
