The first thing to do is immediately ice it, ice the eye for the first 12-15 hours. Make sure if there are any cuts that they are regularly cleaned out, you don't want infections. You can also try holding warm compresses to it after that 12-15 hours of icing, this will speed up recovery.

The best treatment is like for any other bruise. You should put wrapped ice to take the swelling down. If eye continues to have severe pain or there is vision loss, see you doctor right away.

Cold compressions are the first thing you need to do. Ice packs or frozen vegetable packages work well. Also inspects the eye for any damage to the eyeball. If you are embarrassed you can use concealer to cover the bruising. Do not apply warm tea bags that is just a myth.

First go to the eye doctor to see if any damage was done. He will recommend what treatment you should take for the eye. It will go from a black to a yellow bruise.
