Crabs love to climb. Rocks or tree limbs are great inexpesive items. You can all used caps off of bottles make sure they are washed well first. Fresh moss is another item they will find appealing they will spends hours digging in it. Empty rolls from paper towels etc are also great toys.

I had a hermit crab and the thing they enjoyd most was rocks and shells because they like to change their shells so the toy would be a shell or rocks.

Anything a hermit crab can crawl on is considered a toy. Any kind of plastic tree, driftwood or coral and anything they can climb into to hide is great.
