Stand three steps in front of the bowling lane. Hold ball at neck level using free hand for support. Begin stepping toward the lane, dropping ball down by the side and then lifting ball as high as possible behind back. Pull ball swiftly forward and release in lane.

When purchasing a bowling ball, have the ball drilled for fingertip bowling. If you want to convert the ball you have now, you can make shallow holes by purchasing inserts for your ball.
