Serving food will be more convenient if the dining room and the kitchenette were next to each other. The kitchen is part of the kitchenette so cooking and preparing the food and then serving it or setting the table is easier with the dining area in the next room. I also like a dining room connected to the living room.

My advise is to not over crowd the rooms with tables. I like to see the living room and dining room connected with the kitchette off to the side

Keep everything open and flowing from one room to the other. Making each area easily accessible is key to function and style.

Since this is probably an apartment you can't do much painting or decorating. Try to organize your furniture into areas. If you put your living room stuff in one area, your kitchen stuff in one area and your dining room stuff in another it will give off the illusion that it's separate spaces. It will feel roomier.

I would use the best arrangement for your size room. You do not want it overcrowded. It has to have room to walk around.
