Consider getting a computer with high capacities of memory and fast processors. Most of the high end computers is qualified whether its Windows or a Mac based PC. But for me, just get an iMac from Apple computers. Its certified to have a fast operating system and very user friendly.

It's really not the computer that should be considered, except that you need plenty of memory for photos. The software is the important element for editing and organizing photos. One of the best for that would be PhotoShop, but that is also the most expensive. Picasa is a free software which is pretty good, but not as detailed.

Any Dual Core or faster computer with lots of RAM and any photo editing software you can afford. Also most important besides the computer is a well calibrated monitor. What you see on screen, you'll want to see on print as far as tone and color accuracy.

An Apple Macintosh machine, does not matter if it is a laptop or a desktop, is the best to edit and organize photos. This is based on the fact that the leopard OS that mac's generally use is really user-friendly and just about anyone can get accustomed to it. It has all the editing and organizing applications built in.

There is no "best computer". More like "best specs". Look for a computer with a good amount of RAM and a nice processor speed. If you're looking to do recreational photo editing then you don't need something too powerful. If it's professional you should get a dual or quad core with 4 GB of RAM.

Without buying extra software, like photoshop, Apple computers come with iPhoto built in that should suit your needs. Otherwise you could purchase Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, even Aperture.

Any modern computer can be used for editing and organizing photos. I would make sure it has at least 2.0 GHZ and 2.0 Gig of Ram though.

The computer should be very fast and have substantial memory. A large hard drive for storage would be mandated. The software is a very important condideration for this activity.

In general, there are no specific computers to edit or organise photo's. It mostly depeds on the software installed on the pc. All new computers sold today are capable of editing and organizing photos. Be sure to install appropriate software!

If you are talking 10000+ photos you can throw as much power at it as you can afford. Harddrive arrays (RAID), lots of memory, solid state drives and a lot of processor power will each make a difference. Mac or PC is a matter of taste, preferred software and budget.

I find IrfanView to be the best program to manage and edit my pictures. It is very user friendly unlike photoshop. Of course it is not as complete but much easier and accessible.
