Well I think a Tabby cat will be a good kind of cat for children. I have a cat and my kids, they're 4 and 7, love him. And he was really good when they were both babies, too. They usually are fun to play with to. They are also one of the prettiest looking cats.

There are at least 10 different breeds that are good with children. They are Abyssinian, American and Exotic Short hair, Birman, Burrnese, Maine Coon, Manx, Persian, Ragdoll, Somali, and Tiffany. These the best cats with children.

Any and every cat that has been vetted by a shelter or breeder is good in a home. No cat should be chosen as the sole responsibility for a young child. Cats are not suitable pets for a young child and don't play well with children.

I would recommend a Rag doll. They are loving and pretty easy going, which is where they got their name. As with all cats their personality can vary from cat to cat even within the same species.

It isn't the breed that makes the difference. Getting your pet fixed and it's claws removed will really make a difference in temper especially if the cat is a male. Go out and get your average back yard cat from someone who is giving away kittens. The cat will be better with your family if it's there it's whole life.

Removing the cat's claws equals to mutilating the cat! Think what you write before you do!!  add a comment
