A nine month old baby should weigh some where between eighteen and twenty-five pounds. The average baby gains about a pound for each month after birth. From experience with doctors and children, many doctors say as long as your child eats well everythings fine with their weight.

The average american baby is about seven and one half pounds at birth. Most babies will double their birthweight by about six months of age. They will usually triple their birthweight by one year. This would cause a nine month old baby to fall around eighteen or nineteen pounds on average.

Depends on if baby is a boy or girl and length. For a girl at that age, 16-18 lbs is pretty typical. For a boy it would be a little more.
