It is hard to find the average weight of a person just by age. The average weight depends on how tall a person is and their gender, but a typical weight could be around 45 pounds. To find a better range you need your child's height and determine a healthy weight by figuring out their BMI.

Like anything, this can vary from child to child (especially in regards to sex), but on average, I would say approximately 50 pounds.

Actually, I don't believe there is an average weight. Other factors also include the height of the child. A child that is 42 inches tall and has a weight of 38-40 pounds is considered in the normal range. There are websites that will help you factor height and weight.

Healthy five year olds will weigh in between 40 and 50 lbs. However if the child is unusualy tall or was premature the weight could be lower or even more. This is all dependant on the childs genes and weather he or she was full term or not. Your doctor should be able to give you a good idea.
